Details:

The city of Tukwila, WA is a scenic suburb laying in the shadow of the Cascade Mountains on the southern edge of Seattle. Split by the Green River, the city looked to construct a bridge to provide safe and enjoyable walking and biking experiences while connecting the commercial districts in the west with the eastern portions of the city.

SeaTac Lighting & Controls

The final design of the 220-foot bridge and entryways was chosen to celebrate the history and beauty of the river while protecting the local natural habitat. The area lighting poles specified for the entry points to the bridge needed to complement the curved arch of this impressive structure, and a custom curved aluminum light pole in a natural Satin finish was specified. Hapco provided the 32’ radius poles for this project, and with the natural corrosion-resistance of aluminum and Hapco’s Life-time Pole Shaft Warranty, Tukwila guaranteed that this project will be enjoyed by the citizens and visitors of Tukwila for generations.
