Lastly, we appreciate the members of the media in attendance.
For those who may be unfamiliar with Hapco, we are a leading U.S. manufacturer of aluminum and steel light poles serving the commercial, industrial, municipal, transportation, utility, and OEM markets.
This facility represents Hapco’s continued growth and commitment to serving our customers across North America. It is fitting that as Hapco celebrates 75 years of manufacturing excellence, we are investing in the next chapter of our company’s history.
Thank you again for being here to celebrate this exciting milestone with us.
Building the Next Chapter
Tom Hardy – President
“The next chapter of Hapco’s success and the next 75 years begin today.”
Tom shared Hapco’s vision for the future, explaining why Oklahoma City was selected and how the new facility strengthens the company’s ability to support customers and future infrastructure growth.
2026 marks a special year for Hapco. We are celebrating our 75th anniversary as a company while our country celebrates 250 years of independence. As a company that manufactures both light poles and flagpoles, we think that connection is especially meaningful. For 75 years Hapco has adapted, invested, and grown.
But today, we are here also to celebrate our future. This ceremonial groundbreaking starts a new chapter for Hapco and puts our focus firmly on the future. The next chapter of Hapco’s success and the next 75 years begin today.
Many generations of employees have contributed to Hapco’s success, and every milestone in our history has been made possible by the dedication of our people and the trust of our customers.
As we evaluated opportunities to expand our manufacturing footprint, we sought a location that would support our long-term growth strategy, provide access to a skilled workforce, strengthen our supply chain, and allow us to better serve customers throughout the western and central United States. Oklahoma City quickly emerged as the right choice because of its people, transportation infrastructure, and strategic location. Oklahoma sits at the crossroads of our nation’s transportation network, making it an ideal location to support customers across the western half of the United States. This facility strengthens our ability to serve customers faster, support infrastructure growth across North America, and create opportunities for future generations of Hapco employees.
We’re excited about the next chapter, grateful for the partnerships that brought us here, and proud that Oklahoma City will play an important role in the next chapter of the Hapco story.
Investing in Growth
Chris Dyson – Chairman & CEO, Dyson-Kissner-Moran Corporation
“You don’t make investments like this unless you believe in the future.”
Chris discussed the significance of the Oklahoma City investment, emphasizing Hapco’s commitment to American manufacturing, expanded production capacity, and long-term customer support.
Today’s groundbreaking marks an important milestone for Hapco and for the customers we serve.
Dyson-Kissner-Moran Corporation has owned Hapco since 1958 and has a strong parent-subsidiary structure.
The construction of this 270,000-square-foot manufacturing facility represents a significant investment in our business, our customers, and the future of American manufacturing. Once completed, this facility will expand our production capacity for aluminum lighting and utility poles while improving our ability to serve customers across the western half of the United States.
This project is not a relocation of operations but an expansion of our manufacturing network. Our Abingdon, Virginia facility remains our flagship operation, while this new location allows us to increase capacity, improve responsiveness, and support continued market growth.
As demand for infrastructure continues to grow across the country, this investment ensures Hapco remains positioned to deliver quality products, exceptional service, and innovative solutions for generations to come.
This facility is a symbol of confidence, confidence in our customers, confidence in our employees, and confidence in the future of American manufacturing.
You don’t make investments like this unless you believe in the future. We believe in the strength of American manufacturing, the strength of this market, and the strength of the people who make Hapco successful every day.

We are grateful to everyone who helped to make this project possible. From our employees and customers to our community leaders, development partners, and supporters throughout Oklahoma and Virginia.
As we prepare to break ground, we’re reminded that every great project begins with a strong foundation. The foundation we establish today will support new jobs, new opportunities, stronger customer relationships, and continued growth for decades to come.
Together, we’re building more than a manufacturing facility. We’re building jobs, opportunity, and the next chapter of Hapco’s growth. Thank you for joining us today, and now, let’s break ground.
